Caregiver Connections

Caring for a loved one is a labor of love, and caregivers deserve care too. SNBH is proud to sponsor Caregiver Connections, a free morning of appreciation, renewal, and education for family caregivers of people living with cancer and other chronic or debilitating illnesses, hosted by the Cancer Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.

The morning will include:

• Resource tables and vendors with helpful information for caregivers

• A Blessing of the Hands

• Presentations on budget-friendly, nutritious meal prep and on staying flexible while safely assisting others

• A relaxing guided-imagery demonstration

• A roundtable on best tips for navigating the holidays

• Door prizes!

HOLIDAY FELTING WORKSHOP

Get into the holiday spirit with us! Join SNBH for a cozy, hands-on felting workshop where you’ll create your own handmade holiday ornament to take home, hang on the tree, or give as a gift!

No experience needed. All materials are provided, and we’ll guide you step by step. It’s a relaxing, creative way to slow down, connect with neighbors, and kick off the season together.

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

Caring for your loved one can be wonderful, but also stressful, lonely and at times overwhelming. Please join us for our monthly Caregiver Support Group. This is your opportunity to discuss the challenges (and rewards) of caregiving in a safe, supportive environment.

Coming in 2027: An Evening Caregiver Support Group

Caring for a loved one is a full-time job, and many of you are working full-time too. Starting in 2027, we'll add a monthly evening Caregiver Support Group for those who can't make it to our noon gathering. Our noon group will continue as usual. Stay tuned for details, and know that there will always be a seat for you.
