Improving Outcomes: Using Behavior Assessments in Dementia

Changes in personality and behaviors often accompany cognitive in a dementia syndrome. Challenging behaviors  With more than 5.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. The behaviors of a dementia is overwhelming not only for the individual, but also the caregiver. It is often difficult to tease out in a brief interview the current issues the patient is experiencing.  This live in-person program will explore the impact of behaviors in dementia and health outcomes. Evidence-based behavior assessments will be reviewed. This program is designed for beginner and intermediate level social workers working with older adults.
